Papers will be selected by the scientific committee of each symposium. Authors will be notified of acceptance and mode of presentation by July 15, 2024 at the latest.
Abstract length: Website submissions are limited to 3.000 characters. (only plain text, no figures, no formulae…)
Multiple submissions is allowed. There is no fee for submission of an abstract.
Submitting abstracts via the E-MRS website is easy and convenient.
- Log in to your submitter account available HERE or create a new one;
- Follow the easy step-by-step instructions on the template, making sure that complete mailing address information is included for the presenting and contact authors.
After submitting your abstract, please use your Control ID number in all communications with E-MRS. Because major revisions may affect a symposium organizer’s decision to accept your abstract, please review it carefully before submission.
The online submission center enables to save an abstract as a draft and submit it later on. Authors are able to revise their abstracts up to and including the submission deadline of June 11.
Abstract submission is mandatory. Contributions saved as draft only will not be considered in the selection process. Papers will be selected by the scientific committee of each symposium.

Duration of oral presentation, including discussion, depends on symposium organisers but recommendations are:
- 45 minutes for plenary talks,

It is each author's responsibility to remove his/her poster immediately at the end of the session. E-MRS assumes no responsibility for posters left up after this time. Attendees can preview the posters during the morning, before the formal presentation.
There is no printing office on site but, if necessary, there are several shops within walking distance from the Conference venue.
