HENRY ROYCE INSTITUTE - UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD

The Henry Royce Institute identifies challenges and stimulates innovation in advanced materials research, supporting sustainable growth and development. Royce’s vision of Advanced Materials for a Sustainable Society is enabled through a network of UK academic researchers. Materials research themes include biomedical devices, through plastics sustainability, to materials for energy storage and hydrogen applications.

Royce is a partnership of nine leading institutions and two associate partners.

The University of Oxford leads the electrochemical systems research theme.  Driven by energy system decarbonisation, fundamental electrochemistry device development seeks to understand reaction and degradation mechanisms, supported by advanced test, characterisation and modelling tools.
