Nano@matrix
Granted Project:
Towards a new and more precise diagnosis method of breast cancer -Nano@matrix
Coordinator: IPCMS - CNRS, France
To explore new promising clinical prospects of cancer diseases, several actors from nanomedicine research in Upper Rhine started to work together since January 2012 in the network “Nano@matrix”.
This project, selected by the Program INTERREG IV Upper Rhine for its innovative and cross border characters, was officially launched on April 19th in Strasbourg at CNRS, the coordinator of the project. With a total budget of 3 Mio €, the project is co-financed by the European Union up to 1.4 Mio € (European Regional Development Fund - ERDF) and has a grant of 150 000 € of Region Alsace.
Until December 2014, four teams of researchers located in France and Germany and the Alsatian enterprise EURORAD will create a “virtual lab” in order to produce and test two nanomaterials which will be proposed for clinical tests. The knowledge about medical applications of nanoparticles obtained in the framework of the project will be disseminated during conferences organised by the E-MRS in the trinational metropolitan region Upper Rhine.
